“On April 28, 2014, The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors approved Midwest Valve Services’ Mandan, ND facility for ASME section I and VIII pressure and safety relief valve repair. Midwest Valve Services LLC, a subsidiary of Novaspect, was the only facility in North Dakota with the ASME section I and VIII VR stamp until June 24, 2014 when another shop also entered the arena. This VR stamp applies to steam, air/gas, and liquid medias.
The approval process took months of preparation by Midwest Valve Services and their experienced valve repair team. Using their new 20,000 square foot facility in Mandan with a specifically designed safety valve testing area, the Midwest Valve Services team designed, engineered, acquired and installed the equipment necessary to repair, set and test the valves. This equipment included a boiler, steam vessel, liquid and air test stands and plenty of mechanical skills and know-how for installation.
With the proper equipment, National Board approvals, and experienced repair technicians, Midwest Valve Services is now ready to repair, machine and weld air, liquid and steam Section I and VIII valves. “
